I saw the film last Thursday and I enjoyed it a lot except for the guitar music, which was so annoying! The dialogues were excellent, Allen at his best, and so was the performance: Penelope Cruz is great as Maria Helena. I think she will be nominated for the Oscar this year. The situations, on the other hand, were a bit contrived, and not very imaginative, but the rhythm was good and the film fresh. I did not get bored although exoectations were not as hig as in Match Point.
The characters were quite interesting, although the painter was not easy to believe. The film could show the complexity of human feeling, which is Allen's talent at his best.
